When Dulux Finally approved their new look, new shape plastic paint tubs the pressure was on to introduce the new range to the market at record speed. With 24 colour ways and 4 choices of finish, dummy samples had to be produced of sufficient high quality ready for photography and sales promotion merchandising.
The complete range of images was despatched to Eclipse where experienced technicians calculated the distortions for the new designs to fit around these new sexy receptacles. A single image was created on the WeStream 2000 and printed onto PET Shrink film, which was then applied to the first container and submitted to ICI Slough for approval.
Within 24 hours of the first design being approved full production commenced and all colours and finishes were produced in one pass on the WebStream 2000 simultaneously. Several hundred shrink wrap images were then hand applied to the new plastic ergonomic tubs and Dulux were then ready to introduce their remarkable new product into the market place.
The versatility and speed of the WebStream 2000 enabled a high profile product launch to be achieved within very tight time constraints whilst still maintaining quality at the highest level.
Dulux met all it’s deadlines and was able to show its new product across the whole of Europe.
